They call them small brother of Brunello… But this ne is not small for sure…
Intensive and complex, structured and juicy. Elegant aroma is full of ripe red curant, cherries and raspberries with hints of black olives, rosemary and sweet spices. Top italian wine with top french dish, sounds perfect and taste even better with boeuf bourgignon.

Cavalier Cortesi Rosso di Montalcino DOC

Fruity little brother of Brunello

In sunny Tuscany, we found a true gem! Rosso di Montalcino with beautiful class, from the hands of the masters of renowned Cavelier Cortesi winery. Rosso di Montalcino is the fruity little brother of Brunello. Unlike Brunello, Rosso bursts with plenty of fruit and you will be rewarded with an intense aroma and extreme refinement.

Upon opening the bottle, the delicate aroma with hints of blackberries, currants, cherries, strawberries and a hint of vanilla meets you. The 12-month barrel aging gives unique and exquisite flavour with hints of elderberries, cherries, raspberries, cedar and cocoa. Harmonious and full-bodied wine with soft tannins and good balance. Long lasting and lush finish with lots of fruity and spicy impressions.

Rosso di Montalcino

Rosso di Montalcino is the little brother of Brunello, one of the most renowned wines of Italy. Brunello belongs with Barolo and Amarone to the three kings of Italy. Rosso and Brunello differ very little from each other, they are both made from 100% Sangiovese and often come from the same vineyard. However, when it comes to strength, complexity and aging potential, Brunello is high in the top. This is due to the difference in wood aging. Rosso is aged shorter than Brunello, it stays on oak up to 12 months. This results in an overwhelming intense fruity, smooth and juicy taste sensation.
