Cerro Anon Rioja DOC Reserva

Multiple award-winning Rioja Reserva

An elegant and mature Rioja Reserva. The vintage 2014 of this wine is again showered with medals.

Wonderful cherry red colour with a purple rim. Complex and exuberant aroma with hints of ripe red fruits such as red and black currant, cedar and sultry oak. Mellow flavour with lots of fruity nuances, herbs and spices. The wine has aged for 20 months in oak barrels and 12 months in bottle. It is therefore perfectly balanced with a long finish.

Bodegas Olarra

The Olarra winery is located on the outskirts of Logroño, in the heart of the Rioja region. Since the foundation in 1973 it has been characterized by its beautiful vinification facilities. In November 2013 the winery was voted by IWSC as Best Spanish Wine Producer of 2013! It is also known as the cathedral of Rioja, thanks to the beautifully designed building that underlines the true class of their wines. The most modern winemaking techniques combined with old-fashioned craftsmanship, perfect care and growing conditions of the grapes are basis of the recipe for the finest red wines that this winery is praised for.

Rioja

Wine making in Rioja began long before the beginning of our era since the Romans were already active in the wine cultivation here. No surprise it is the most famous wine region of Spain. In 1991 it received the Denomination of Origen Calificada (DOCa) status. The DOCa applies only to wines of the highest quality, which has been proven over a long period of time. All wineries use their own unique combination of grapes, however Rioja is mostly a blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha and Mazuelo.
