Château de Beauvoisin AOP Costières de Nîmes

A beautiful bottle with an equally beautiful content. The grapes for this typical Rhône blend come from vineyards in Costières de Nimes in southern France. Wines from this region were already drunk by the ancient Greeks and are therefore among the oldest known wines in the world. In our opinion, this beautiful wine also goes into the books. A wonderfully soft, fruity wine with a well-earned gold medal!

A beautiful ruby red wine. It has a seductive delicate aroma of red fruit and berries. This tasteful and fruity wine is silky smooth and has soft tannins.

Vignerons Propriétés Associés

This beautiful wine comes from Vignerons Propriétés Associés, one of the most important wineries in the Rhône region. The vineyards are located around the village of Nîmesla Romaine. The wines are characterized by the geographical location of the vineyards and the optimum climatic conditions in this area.

Costières de Nimes

Costières de Nîmes is the southernmost name of the Rhône wine region in south eastern France. The wines from this region would already be drunk by the ancient Greeks, making them one of the oldest known wines in the world. A typical red Costières de Nîmes made from the classic Rhône blend, is robust and spicy and the perfect partner of the local cuisine.

The terroir

While the terroir of the most Rhône appellations are characterized by granite or limestone soils and height differences, the landscapes between Nîmes and the Mediterranean Sea are relatively flat and low-lying. The area consists of low-lying pieces of land on calcareous soils that are perfect for winemaking. When no vines are planted, this country is generally overgrown with rosemary, lavender or thyme because the relatively loose soil is poor in nutrients. Because the soil is not very fertile, vines get strong roots that go deeply in search of water and nutrients. Vines with such root systems generally produce more complex wines.
