Château Vincens Origine Malbec AOC

This Malbec has exceeded the expectations of several international juries. A wine from the leading producer Château Vincens in Cahors, is a rich force power with the structure of a great Bordeaux.

A deep intense purple-black colour with light tears on the glass. A complex, thick and richly muscular bouquet of soft sweet Malbec fruit with sultry vanilla grandeur of new oak. A mouth-filling wide, deep and powerful taste with greasy cassis luxury, creamy bite and the texture of a great Bordeaux. Bursting black meat cherries, plums, mocha and ripe fruits. 12 months ripened in oak barrels.

The Vincens family

Château Vincens is a leading producer in Cahors with 38 hectares of vineyards, 20 ha of which are in production. The vineyard is 300 metres high and the grapes are traditionally fortified with a long week of must on peel, to provide as much wealth as possible. Château Vincens’ vineyard of the Vincens family exists for about 30 years. The history of wine making began with Prosper Vincens who after his return from the WWI, bought a plot to start a vineyard. The grapes were then delivered to Cave Cooperation and used for another wine.

In 1982, the decision was made to make and sell own wines. In 1983, Michele and Daniele Vincens harvested the first grapes for Domaine des Vincens, which was later named Château Vincens. Three generations are now working in a beautiful vineyard and expanding it. In order to obtain the optimal quality, they look carefully at each plot and the production method is adjusted for each wine. Successfully!

Cahors wine region

Cahors is one of the oldest wine regions in the world. In ancient Rome, the first grape vines were planted 50 years BC. Although it is not one of the most popular wine areas in France, Cahors wines are becoming increasingly interested. Cahors produces beautiful, powerful and concentrated wines.
