Johnny Q Shiraz

Attractive and rich creamy Shiraz from South Australia

This is certainly a class of wine with length and character.

Compact, black-purple berry in colour. Hearty aroma full of balled black fruit and eucalyptus. In taste especially toasty oak with lots of spices (pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg). Rich creamy Shiraz with luxury, biting meat and eucalyptus.

South Australia

Adelaide is the capital of the vast South Australia, the seat of the Australian wine industry. Australian wine industry is located here, the national government body responsible for implementing the viticulture laws, wine promotion and export control. South Australia has many wine regions and takes up about 50% of Australian wine production accounted for.

In the north of South Australia you will find Southern Flinders, Adelaide Hills, Adelaide Plains, Clare Valley, Barossa Valley and Eden Valley. Further inland you will discover Riverland. South of the capital is the famous McLaren Vale area surrounded the Langhorne Creek, Currency Creek and Southern Fleurieu. In the southern tip with the Pacific influence on both sides there are the cool areas including Mount Benson, Robe and Coonawarra.

Warmer regions alternate with cool climate zones, making the diversity of grape varieties and wine styles great. The climate in South Australia varies from temperate maritime climate on the coast to more inland continental climate. Annual rainfall is low making irrigation necessary. The location of the vineyards in this region varies from flat to hilly where the climate is cooler. The soil consists of a mixture of clay, sand and volcanic soil.
