Crispy fresh and fruity Sauvignon blanc from Chile. Gorgeous pale yellow in colour with a green tint. Aroma is fresh and fruity with hints of citrus, tropical fruits and minerals. Juicy and full flavour of citrus, pear and melon with additional minerality. Long finish is rich in impressions of citrus and tropical fruits.

Bodegas Viña Luis Felipe Edwards

The wonderful Chilean wines of La Poderosa are created by a passionate winemaker Nicolas Bizzarri. After he finished his studies in Australia he married one of the daughters of Luis Felipe Edwards. Bodegas Viña Luis Felipe Edwards was founded in 1976 and in recent years it has grown so explosively that it has become the 9th largest winery in Chile. Further, it was twice voted the best Chilean wine producer! The splendid wines of the La Poderosa range are an excellent example of all the beauty this renowned Chilean bodegas has to offer. The name and the label are inspired by a true story of the Argentine revolutionary fighter Ernesto "Che" Guevara who made a trip on an old Norton motorcycle through South America in 1939. He nicknamed his engine La Poderosa, which means "The Powerful".

The Rapel Valley

The beautiful Rapel Valley lies to the south of the capital Santiago. The area has received global prominence because of the particular climate and soil, which allow the grapes to mature in the most natural conditions. The Valley has a warm climate influenced by the Pacific Ocean. Warm days and cool nights are ideal for growing grapes. There are over 9100 hectares of vineyards in bowl-shaped valleys, at altitudes of 600 to 1000 metres, from the west side to the east. The region is home of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. In addition, red wines from Carmenère, Cabernet Franc and Syrah are also produced. White wines are usually made from Chardonnay and Sauvignon blanc.
