Lanciola Ricciotto IGT (6pcs)
This delicious Sangiovese has matured for 6 months in oak barrels and is rich in flavours such as black cherry, olives, red fruits and chocolate.
Sangiovese creates the basis of very powerful wines such as Brunello di Montalcino to enticing fruity wines such as Chianti. The grape has dark colour and combines fresh fruits with herbs, spices and soft tannins. Sangiovese is at its best in Tuscany and Umbria, where it gives wines with some tannins and acids and where it sometimes gets blended with other varieties.
Azienda Agricola Lanciola is situated just outside of Florence on the rolling hills of Impruneta, near Pozzolatico, in the “Colli Fiorentini” production area. It is immersed in Tuscan countryside among olive-groves, cypress trees and vineyards. The estate totals 80 hectares, 40 hectares of which are planted with vine, the remainder is devoted to olive-groves. The goal of the present owners, the Guarnieri family, has been to been to maximize the use of the land.
The estate’s vineyards, formerly called “Terre dei Ricci”, now produce “Terricci”. This wine is an IGT (Indicazione Geografica Tipica) red table wine made mostly from Sangiovese Grosso and Cabernet Sauvignon.
