Luna Rosa Tinto Central Ranges

Once again, the winemakers of the Cumulus Wines winery surpass themselves with this round and supple red wine. The power of the Old World is combined with the quality of the New World. In the vineyards of New South Wales where the cool climate forms the basis for this unique Luna Rosa, Italian Sangiovese, Spanish Monastrell and the Australian hero Shiraz blend to make a generous red wine. In the wine scene of Australian the wine has already made a name, it has already won 4 medals at various wine competitions, including the esteemed International Wine & Spirit Competition. So, if you want to do something good for your taste buds, open the bottle!

A deep garnet red wine with a glossy orange rim that reflects the mature character of this particular wine. Spoil your nose with basket full of cherries that come from Sangiovese. Shiraz gives the wine its maturity, sweetness and power. Add earthy and peppery aromas of Monastrell and the feast for the senses is complete. The palate is also tempting thanks to notes of ripe cherries, berries, tobacco, wood tones and a hint of vanilla. The good length in the finish is not to be missed.

Australian hero made from traditional craftsmanship

More than 500 hectares of the Cumulus vineyard lies on the rolling hills of Boomey, in the Orange wine region of New South Wales. Spread over the valleys and hills, the vines are planted below or above the 600-meter high sea level border. This height difference means that the vineyard has two appellations. The grapes used in Luna Rosa come from the highest plots. Here, the grapes benefit from the intense sunlight while the cooler temperature at high altitude slows down the ripening process.

Luna Rosa is a creation of the winemaker Debbie Lauritz. In these wines she combines Old World craftsmanship with the refinement of the New World and the production of wines in a cool climate to produce distinctive and unique wines. The inspiration for the wine comes from the Portuguese winemakers Berardo. This doesn’t apply only to the wine itself, but also to the beautiful label. The classic azulejos, traditional Portuguese ceramic tiles, are here synonymous to culture, art love, architecture and of course the country's passion for wine. A passion shared by Debbie Lauritz with the inhabitants of the Mediterranean.
