Two Rivers Convergence Sauvignon Blanc
Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand
Two Rivers Convergence Sauvignon Blanc takes its name from the rivers of Awatare and Wairau. They have created over the centuries sediments in which vine grows very well.
Crystal clear bright white-green colour. Expressive, mineral nose of tropical fresh fruit style with lychee, passion fruit, citrus, cassis and green papaya. Breathtakingly good! Powerful concentrated flavour, full of “crunchy“ white fruit, minerals and fragrant blossoms. Perfectly balanced with a lot of grip. Endlessly long finish.
The Two Rivers
David Clouston, a winemaker of the Two Rivers wines, goes for the best. Only the best grapes are used for the wines, from the best plots on the sunniest spots. David did many years of experience in vineyards all over the world but settled in 2004 in his native region of Marlborough.
The grapes are harvested only if optimally ripen. Soft pressing is followed by fermentation that takes place under cool conditions in stainless steel tanks. David let a part of the wine matured for three months on the dregs of natural yeasts in French oak barrels. This gives the Sauvignon Blanc nice texture, complexity and fullness.
